LM4041xx Precision micropower shunt voltage reference

The LM4041 is a micropower shunt voltage reference, providing a stable 1.225 V output voltage, with an initial accuracy of 0.1% @ 25 °C and a low temperature coefficient. Available in SOT323-5L and SOT23-3L surface mount packages, it can be designed in applications where space saving is a critical issue. The low operating current is a key advantage for power restricted designs. In addition, the LM4041 is very stable and can be used in a broad range of application conditions.

MEMS demonstration board based on the LPY410AL (dual-axis pitch and yaw ±100 dps analog gyroscope)

The STEVAL-MKI103V1 is a demonstration board designed to provide the user with a complete, ready-to-use platform for demonstration of the LPY410AL product family.

The kit includes a sensing element and an IC interface capable of translating information from the sensing element into a measured signal that can be used for external applications.

In addition to the MEMS sensor, the demonstration board uses an ST7 microcontroller which functions as a bridge between the sensor and the PC. This makes it possible to download the graphical user interface (GUI) from the website or to use dedicated software routines for customized applications.

MP34DB01 MEMS audio sensor omnidirectional digital microphone

The MP34DB01 is a compact, low-power, bottom port, omnidirectional digital MEMS microphone. The MP34DB01 is built with a capacitive sensing element and an IC interface with stereo operation capability.

The sensing element, capable of detecting acoustic waves, is manufactured using a specialized silicon micromachining process dedicated to produce audio sensors.

The IC interface is manufactured using a CMOS process that allows designing a dedicated circuit able to provide a digital signal externally in PDM format.

The MP34DB01 has an acoustic overload point of 120 dBSPL with a best on the market 62 dB signal-to-noise ratio and -26 dB sensitivity.

The MP34DB01 is available in an SMD-compliant package and it is guaranteed to operate over an extended temperature range from -30 °C to +85 °C.

STEVAL-IPE012V1 Single-phase energy meter demonstration board using the STPM10 and STM8L15

The STEVAL-IPE012V1 demonstration board implements a single-phase energy meter based on the STPM metering IC and STM8L152 microcontroller. The demonstration board is a fully functional single-phase solution with parameter display, tamper management, maximum demand (MD) calculation, EEPROM data logging, and low power management.

STMicroelectronics and Digi-Key Corporation Announce Winners of ST iNEMO™ Design Contest

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND and THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minnesota, USA, July 06, 2011 - Electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corporation, recognized by design engineers as having the industry’s broadest selection of electronic components available for immediate shipment, and STMicroelectronics (NYSE: STM), a global semiconductor leader serving customers across the spectrum of electronics applications, have announced Team McGill as the winners of the iNEMO Design Contest.

Each project in the competition contained an iNEMO Inertial Measurement Unit and was judged on the number of degrees of freedom (DoF) used from the 10 degrees of freedom available in total, the quality of its hardware and firmware/software, the design's novelty, its use of daughter boards, and the final project's ease of use and appeal of its user interface.
